Scott and Chris joined MBIYC in the early ‘90’s and have been involved in some capacity ever since. Scott began by helping build the walkways and Chris was the first recording Secretary of the Club.

Scott and Chris then became editors of the newsletter and actually named it the “Grapevine”. Next they served as editors of Yearbook, and then chaired the Entertainment committee. Scott was an original member of the dock committee and helped draft our current dock policy and served as committee chairman. He served as Rear Commodore for 2 years, then Vice Commodore for 2 years. In 2006-2007 he served as Commodore. In 2008 he continued to serve as Staff Commodore and on the Nominating Committee during 2008 & 2009. He continues as a member of the Nominating Committee.

Scott began work at Fun with Wheels Suzuki, a motorcycle dealership, where he worked during his college days and ended up buying the business. Scott later sold the business and began work in the oil & gas industry where he worked as a Production Superintendent for 23 years. Scott then became a Realtor with King Thompson Coldwell Banker for 4 years, and then accepted a position with Clarke-American in Columbus. When that plant announced it’s closing in 2006, Scott and Chris relocated to Huron, Oh where Scott is a foreman at Delphi

Scott & Chris have two children, Jeff & Wendy, who grew up on the boat and they have two granddaughters, Kimmy & Katie who they spend a great deal of time with.

Scott & Chris still enjoy boating and when they are not out on the Silverton, they are running around Sandusky Bay in their 17 ‘Rinker or dinghy.
