Revision History Objective The objective of this House Policy is to promote fair and equitable use of the Club facilities operated by Middle Bass Island Yacht Club and provide necessary guidelines for members in order to make everyone’s visit safer and more enjoyable. MBIYC asks members to review this policy and work with the Club employees to obey them. 1.1 Club or MBIYC means The Middle Bass Island Yacht Club. 1.2 Dock Master means the person employed or enlisted by the Club to operate the docks in an orderly manner in accordance with Constitution and policies of MBIYC. 1.3 Member means an active member in good standing of MBIYC. 1.4 I-LYA affiliate means an active member in good standing of another yacht club that is a member of the Inter-Lake Yachting Association. 1.5 Immediate family means the spouse and dependents of a Member. 1.6 Club Facilities mean the Club grounds, Clubhouse, Docks and other equipment provided on the grounds for member use. SECTION II - RULES AND REGULATIONS 2.1 All members may utilize the Club Facilities. Membership cards entitle members and their immediate families to the privileges to the Club and Grounds. 2.2 Members may bring guests to the Club and/or use the guest’s vessel at the Club. Non-members may not stay at or use the Club facilities without the member being present. 2.3 I-LYA affiliated yacht club members may be granted guest privileges to utilize the Club Facilities. All visiting members shall sign the guest register. 2.3.1 Club privileges granted to I-LYA affiliated members arriving by boat and docked at MBIYC shall be limited to the member and their guests aboard their vessel. 2.3.2 Club privileges granted to I-LYA affiliated members arriving by any other means shall be limited to the member and their immediate family as defined for MBIYC members. 2.4 All members and I-LYA affiliates are required to show proof of membership upon request. 2.5 MBIYC is not responsible for loss or damage to vessels or other property within the Club or in the marina. 2.6 All members, guests and I-LYA affiliates will observe proper respect and consideration of a Club employee’s authority. 2.7 Only the Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight of Club employees. All complaints must be handled by appropriate members of the Board, not directly with the employee. All complaints shall be submitted in writing to the Board for action. 2.8.1 No member may, by his or her personal conduct or that of his or her guests, disturb or interfere with the rights of any other member to enjoy the facilities and grounds of the Club. This rule will require that all responsible people make reasonable compromises, and may be the basis of suitable disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. 2.8.2 Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. MBIYC prohibits excessive noise or profanity at the Club. After 11:00 PM, members, guests and I-LYA affiliates are asked to relocate any activity that would tend to annoy fellow members in and around the dock area to the clubhouse area. 2.8.3 Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests and any debt incurred by them while at the Club. Club privileges may be revoked, denied, or forfeited the member with their guests evicted at any time for disruptive behavior. 2.8.4 Members must confine alcoholic beverages to the Club facilities. State Park officers may ticket violators. 2.8.5 The Clubhouse is a NO SMOKING facility. Smoking is not permitted within the Clubhouse, restrooms, or outdoors on the Clubhouse deck. 2.8.6 No person is permitted within the Clubhouse without footwear, cover-up or shirt. Wet clothing shall be limited to the restrooms and shower areas. 2.8.7 The Club allows pets. Pets must be on a leash when not aboard a boat. Owners must walk their pets to the designated area for their personal relief needs. Owners shall immediately clean up after their pets anywhere on Club property. 2.8.8 Pets are not permitted within the Clubhouse, restrooms, all showers, or outdoors on the Clubhouse deck. 2.8.9 Official Club meetings must not be disturbed by any excessive noise in or around the Clubhouse by members or their guests. 2.8.10 Members, guests and employees using restrooms and showers must leave them in a clean and orderly condition. 2.8.11 No grills or open flames are permitted at any time on the Clubhouse deck or other covered areas of the Clubhouse. 2.8.12 Grills and tables are provided for the use of members and guests who, in turn, are responsible for cleanup of equipment and grounds after each use. 2.8.13 Property of the Clubhouse, deck, picnic tables, grills, chairs and other Club property shall not be removed from Club premises. 2.8.14 Furniture, appliances and Clubhouse property is for the use of members and guests only. Members shall be liable for any damage to property by willful or negligent acts. 2.8.15 Fish cleaning and disposal of fish offal is not permitted in Club facilities or on Club grounds at anytime. 2.8.16 MBIYC prohibits firearms or fireworks on or within any Club facility. 2.8.17 No petitions, posters, advertisements or other postings shall be circulated or posted without the prior permission of the House Committee and then only in designated locations. 2.8.18 The storage buildings and propane storage area are limited to authorized personnel only. They are off limits to general members and guests not part of a work detail. SECTION III - CLUBHOUSE HOURS OF OPERATION 3.1 The Clubhouse and restroom/shower facilities will be open as scheduled. Temporary adjustment to the posted hours of operation may be made by the House Committee. 3.2 Each MBIYC member shall receive an access code/card for restroom and shower facility access during non-operational hours. 4.1 The MBIYC Board of Directors will take all necessary actions and disciplinary measures for unsatisfactory behavior by members, guests or I-LYA affiliates, as stated in the Constitution. |
