Middle Bass Island Yacht Club is located on Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie near the north coast of Ohio. MBIYC is a member club of I-LYA and provides reciprocal privileges to visitors from other member clubs.


MBIYC - Profile

Founded in 1989 by a group of Lake Erie boaters who frequented the islands of the western basin, Middle Bass Island Yacht Club has grown to near 600 members.

The Club is situated on Middle Bass Island within the State Park Marina facility. MBIYC leases its property from the State of Ohio.

The club facilities include a gazebo and picnic area complete with a large tent to fend off the sun and rain as well as docks for seasonal and guests boaters. 

A dockmaster is employed by the club to aid all members and guests in the assignment of docks. A club dock policy is in effect, enforced by the dockmaster. Dockage is available to visitors from affiliated clubs on a reciprocal basis.

MBIYC is a member of the Inter-Lake Yachting Association and the  Greater Cleveland Boating Association.
