Bob Eischen

Joanie and Bob joined Middle Bass Yacht Club in 2007. They are currently sailing their 1986 43’ Slocum Pilot House sailboat. They met in 1985 while sailing in the Virgin Islands and have had a love affair with sailing ever since. After meeting all the wonderful people at Middle Bass Island Yacht Club, it was a natural fit.

Bob retired from the City of Toledo after 30 years in 2006. Starting as a Plumber/Steamfitter, he became the Supervisor of Mechanical Trades for the Department of Facility Operations and was responsible for the maintenance and repair of over 300 buildings. Bob was also the 94^th Commodore of The Toledo Yacht Club in 2002.

Joanie is a Nurse Anesthetist and works at various Medical facilities in the Toledo area. Together they have traveled extensively around the world, but find their new home at Middle Bass Island the best kept secret in the world. And it is where you can find them enjoying all the good things Middle Bass has to offer all summer long.
