Judy Hill

Judy Hill passed away following an illness that began last fall on December 10, 2007.

Judith A. Hill, age 66, passed away on Monday December 10, 2007 in Altercare of Navarre, following an extended illness. She was born in Canton on November 5, 1941 to the late Robert and Helen Marks. Judith was a member of the Middle Bass Yacht Club where she was employed as Dock Master. She was also a member of the Church of Middle Bass and enjoyed gardening. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Ron Marks and a sister Karen Stertzbach. Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years Brant Hill of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Kimberly Hill and Kirk and Pamela Hill all of Canton; five grandchildren Hunter, Justin, Megan, Blake and Kirk; sisters Rosemary (Terry) Rapp of Salineville, OH, Louise (Barry) Archer of Dover, OH, Helen (Ron) Perdue of Carrollton, OH, and Debra Oyster of Brewster, OH; two brothers Carl (Sharon) Marks of Richville, OH and Bobby Marks of Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, with the Rev. Karl Steuk officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be Wednesday (TONIGHT) from 7-9pm and one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11am in the funeral home. Judy began her job as MBIYC DockMaster with the 2001 season and continued through August of 2007 when she became ill. She was an honorary member of MBIYC. Judy was the Club's only employee.
