Independence Day Weekend Picnic
July 4-6, 2008 (Friday-Sunday)

or Miller's Marina on Channel 74.
The Independence Day Weekend Picnic will
take place on Saturday July 5th.
We are honored to be hosted by the PIBYC this year and the event will be a joint
effort for both clubs.
MBIYC has 20 docks reserved at Millers Marina and
5 at the PIBYC. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AND RESERVE DOCKS YOURSELF. Reservations for
Millers and PIBYC will be made by us, based on the reservation checks we
received based on postmark date. You will receive a personal email or phone call
from us by Friday June 20 confirming your dock or if you are on the waiting
list. Dockage is for a minimum of two nights (Friday, July 4th and Saturday,
July 5th). If you plan on docking earlier than 7/4, please call us immediately.
We have been asked about staying additional nights, this should not be a problem
at Millers, and you can make those arrangements on site after docking. No
reservation needed if coming by land or staying at another marina.
MBIYC members will be able to access all PIBYC
club facilities (showers, club house, etc.) during normal working hours. Due to
the fact that PIBYC holds a liquor license, all alcoholic beverages must be
purchased from the club and must stay on the club grounds proper. We have been
advised from PIBYC that crossing the street to get to docks with open alcoholic
beverages is illegal and can result in a monetary fine!
Schedule of events for Friday July 4 include:
Happy Hour at PIBYC 4pm to 6pm and dinner from 6 pm to 8pm with a special dinner
menu offering BBQ chicken, perch, burgers, corn, potato salad and baked beans.
All this followed by a front row seat to spectacular fireworks.
Saturday July 5 will be the PIBYC Freedom Party.
Kids and adult games start at 4 pm. A pig roast is planned with dinner served at
5 pm. Our estimated cost at print time is $8 to $10 per adult and $5 per child.
Dinner will include a mashed potato bar with lots of yummy toppings, salad bar
and dessert. The Band 28 Daze will be playing from 7pm until 11pm for fun and
dancing.
This
year we expect several of our events to sell-out of dock space early so don't
wait to get your reservations in. Members will be added to the lists on a
first-paid-first-served basis. Your name will not be added to the lists until
your deposit payment is received.
The following lists those
who have signed up as of 6/14/08.
Others may have signed up since then. The official list is kept by the
entertainment chairman and we only update this list periodically.
We have 20 docks at
Miller's Marina PLUS the PIBYC dock which can hold 5 boats reserved for this
weekend.
