If the construction schedule progresses as planned, MBIYC and our marina will close shortly after Labor Day 2007. Construction will continue throughout 2008 and the new marina plans to open in the spring of 2009.

With the new marina, MBIYC is required to purchase new docks to State of Ohio specifications. Current information indicates plans for a floating, hardwood surfaced, galvanized steel frame dock system with 8 foot wide piers and 4 foot wide finger docks of various lengths. All docks will have electricity and potable water.

For the new Club grounds we are asking for approximately the same amount of land we currently lease. Planned construction includes restrooms, showers and some type of Clubhouse or member social facility. This may need to be built in phases over several years. Any new construction will need to be financed by MBIYC.

MBIYC will continue to lease the land and water rights from the State of Ohio. The initial lease term should be 25 years or greater. The Club will retain title to the docks and structures built or placed on the leasehold property.
