MBIYC - Mission Statement 2000

The Middle Bass Island Yacht Club was founded to encourage, promote and support safe boating and related sport activities to include the spirit of fellowship among its members, their families and fellow yachtsmen.

The "organization" shall continue its membership and participation in the Inter-Lake Yachting Association and maintain the ideals set forth to encourage, promote and support education, seamanship and small boat handling among its members and the junior yachtsmen of the sport of boating.

The "organization" shall continue to maintain, enhance and improve the club's facility for the enjoyment of its members, families and guests. To preserve and protect the natural habitat of the area for all that visit and abide by all laws and covenants set forth by the township and State of Ohio.

The "organization" shall prepare, develop and design plans for approval to the State of Ohio, ODNR, or any other State department for the enhancement of club facilities and grounds in  accordance with any and all master improvements set forth. To fully cooperate with State officials in the development of the general area for the preservation and protection of natural surrounding as it exists.

The "organization" shall continue its "good neighbor" policy with island residents and maintain above average order and dignity consistent with club philosophy. To promote community events among its members, families and guests in support of activities that benefit all.

The "organization" shall maintain its commitment to all members for continued growth and prosperity of the Middle Bass Island Yacht Club for now and in the future.
