The Club is now completely open and docks with electricity are available for use. The State's water system is not yet complete so no potable water yet. Thanks to all who showed up, worked and had a great picnic on Opening Day. Much was accomplished and great fun was had by all! Special thanks again to P/C Larry Ohler for his "milk can" stew. The weather on the island was great all weekend except for a few showers early on Sat. & Sun morning. For anyone who stayed home due to the weather forecast, you showed know the sun always shines on the island!
The Club official opening date and work party is set for May 1, 2010.
Prior to the official Club Opening, the MBIYC marina and docks are planned to be available for use by members with electricity on April 1, 2010. Weather, ice and getting the docks reconnected to the pilings and safe for use are factors that may change the actual date the marina is opened. For More Event Information Contact: Gil Root |
