Cindy Wierzchowski John & Cindy have been MBIYC members for over ten years. Their home in the winter and during the week is in Aurora, Ohio, on the weekend during the season you’ll find them on the boat. Cindy has been in the transportation industry for fifteen plus years, and is currently employed as a supervisor for FedEx Supply Chain Services in Hudson, OH. They are now enjoying their fifth boat, Mystic, a 43 ft Viking Double-Cabin Motoryacht, which is docked in Sandusky. Their goal is to sell the house and live aboard a trawler during retirement. They have had some wonderful cruises on the Great Lakes over the years. 2001 was one of the greatest, cruising up through Lake Huron and around to Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. 2003 saw them charter a trawler in the Virgin Islands. This is some of the most relaxing cruising in the world. They liked it so much they went back and did it again in January 2005. During 2008, John & Cindy lead the "Commodore's Cruise" to the North Channel. John is a senior member of the Akron Power Squadron where he has also served as the Legislative Officer and on the Audit Committee. He is a certified Vessel Safety Examiner. Cindy served as the Club's bookkeeper (2002-2006 ) and devoted countless hours to organizing and computerizing the Club's financial records. She proved invaluable to John during his term as Commodore. Cindy currently serves a the Chairperson of the Ship's Store. |
